A Passing Thought! But you would not expect the art teacher to have a painting
in the same gallery.
All the creativity and inspiration have come from the
student.
Just as in martial arts, if the teacher can show how to use
the tools then you will progress ,
and then you will succeed.
In the end it does not matter how good the teacher is at
fighting or how fast or great he or she makes the martial art seem, these things
make a great martial artist, not a great martial arts teacher.
On the other hand a student who does not try and who relies
on the teacher for their inspiration will be only as good as a person that
follows another person hoping that some of the good will rub off on themselves. What makes a great martial art teacher is the ability to communicate with his students and help the student to find the beauty of their martial art and to achieve the student’s goals. |
